Use and misuse of Antibiotics - now more than ever - results in fish not responding to antibiotic treatment, as many bacteria are now resistant to common antibiotics. Using antibiotics without anti-biogram investigation is literally "a shot in the dark". With the emergence of many antibiotic resistant bacterial strains Kusuri-Sabbactisun (KS) can be an invaluable aid in treating diseased fish.
Chemicals and antibiotics are detrimental to vital nitrifying bacteria (the filter biomass). KS does not kill nitrifying bacteria; water quality is an important factor in any disease treatment.
A treatment course in a quarantine tank will always be more economical, but when it is not possible to catch affected fish KS can be safely used in all ponds. |
